Tim Davidson
Tim Davidson is a CISSP that brings over 10 years of industry experience
to his position as a Consulting System Engineer with Cisco Systems. In
his role as a security specialist, Tim delivers Cisco’s security
strategy and vision to a variety of enterprise accounts and business
verticals including healthcare, telecommunications, retail, financial
and manufacturing. Prior to joining Cisco, Tim worked in similar roles
with both established and start-up companies, always specializing in
architecting secure IP environments, security innovation and business
relevancy of security initiatives.

Marilyn DeMent
As senior security product manager
for Verio Global Hosting Solutions, Marilyn DeMent is responsible for the
development and maintenance of Verio’s portfolio of security services and
solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/protection services,
managed IP-VPNs and other security products, as well as all Cisco-related
market activities. With more than 10 years experience in product management,
Marilyn possesses a strong background in services and product in a variety
of industries, including telecommunications, computer hardware,
distribution, software and logistics. Most recently, Marilyn worked at
Comstor, a division of Westcon Group, developing product marketing strategy
for Cisco Systems’ security and convergence offerings. Prior to that, she
held various product management and marketing positions with Comstor, as
well as Bell Atlantic/Verizon, Global One, e.spire Communications and
VeriSign. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Tulane
University and a master’s degree in business administration from Georgetown
University.

Brendan Hannigan
Brendan
Hannigan Executive Vice President of Marketing & Product Engineering Brendan
brings over 16 years of industry experience to Q1 Labs. Before joining Q1 Labs,
Brendan was vice president of marketing at Sockeye Networks (a
route-optimization firm acquired by Internap), where he led all marketing and
product management functions. Previously, as director of network research at
Forrester Research, he oversaw the firm’s most successful practices, covering
enterprise networks, security technology and public network services. Before
Forrester, Brendan served in a variety of senior product-development roles at
Digital Equipment Corp., Wellfleet Communications and Motorola. Brendan
graduated with honors in computer science from University College, Dublin,
Ireland.

Derek Milroy MCSE, CCNA, CISSP, GSEC
Derek has been implementing security in corporate environments, as both an
internal employee and a consultant, for five years. Although he has
implemented firewalls, IDSs, and VPNs for various employers and clients he
focuses heavily on securing Microsoft hosts and Domain structures. He has
hardened hundreds of hosts in environments ranging from less than a dozen
servers to enterprise environments with over 1000 servers and thousands of
users. In conjunction with hardening he has also crafted and implemented
standards, policies, and procedures to maintain the security of his
employer's / client's environments.

Tyrone
Parker Jr.
Tyrone started his IT career at Discover Card Service in 1989 and later moved on
to Spiegel, Inc. After Spiegel, he came to Hewitt in 1996 as a Senior Security
Analyst. After 8 months of being in that role he was promoted to manager over IS
Security administration which led to his most current role as IS Security
Manager. This role involves security administration for Oracle, PeopleSoft,
Unix, mainframe, NDS, Oracle, Citrix, Lotus Notes, and Domino to name a few.
Tyrone is also the security lead for all Sarbanes Oxley audit controls.
He graduated from
North Carolina A&T State University where he majored in Computer Science and
minored in Math. He is currently completing the second year of study
towards his MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. He is a past board
member of the BPDA (Black Data Processing Associates) and is very active in
church, company and community activities. He and his wife Desiree have two
daughters currently in college.

David R. Shue, CISSP
David
has worked for Lucent for 6 years, spending the last year in the Security
Operations team, which is responsible for the front line of Lucent's security
defense, utilizing firewalls, anti-virus, host and network based intrusion
detection systems. Before Lucent he was the IT manager of a startup, SpringTide
Networks which was purchased by Lucent. Before SpringTide, he worked for RSA
Data Security (formerly Security Dynamics) where he held various positions
including IT Manager and where he set up the first security infrastructure for
Security Dynamics in 1996. Before RSA he worked for MIT Lincoln Laboratory on
various Air Force funded programs.
