Jim Block
Jim
Block is IT Program Manager for Baxter Credit Union. Jim has eight years
of technology experience creating and deploying complex software
solutions in the Financial Services industry. At BCU, Jim implemented an
enterprise wide Business Process Management solution amongst other large
organizational projects. He previously spent five years as a senior
consultant designing and building service oriented applications for
clients such as Caterpillar Financial Services, Dell Financial Services,
IBM Global Finance and GMAC Insurance. Jim was previously vice president
of Sales and Lending at Baxter Credit Union, and has ten years of prior
credit, collections, marketing, risk and management experience. With
over a billion dollars in assets, Baxter Credit Union (BCU) is one of
the nation's top 100 credit unions and one of the largest in Illinois.
Jim is a graduate of the Kellogg Graduate School of management and has
his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University.

Pradipa Karbhari
Pradipa
Karbhari specializes in SOA, web services, systems integration, and
leading large scale application development efforts. Pradipa has
over 16 years of IT experience on a broad range of technical platforms.
She is an experienced web services/solutions architect, an engineer by
graduate education and a seasoned speaker at various national and
international conferences. She is also a registered speaker with the
Object Management Group (OMG). Her most recent speaking engagement was
in Sydney, Australia where she was called to speak on “ebXML Standards
Driving eBusiness” at the OASIS Annual Asia Pacific Convention on Open
Standards. She currently directs SilverTrain’s National Web Services and
SOA Practice.

Todd Landry
Todd Landry is the Vice President of Product Management and Marketing for Sphere
Communications where he oversees the company’s product strategies and
go-to-market activities, including alliances and channel development. An
accomplished speaker Landry can be seen in numerous forums, panels and keynotes
that include topics such as market changes and impacts, business applications
for technology, case studies, industry direction and others. He has joined many
industry experts from top analysts, technology vendors and end users of existing
and new technologies and has focused on the real value in leveraging technology
for business. Previously a vice president at CommWorks Corporate, a subsidiary
of 3Com Corporation, Landry oversaw multiple business lines of network access
systems and software. Landry has been involved in the telecommunications
industry for over 20 years including over 7 years in senior positions with U.S.
Robotics Network Systems, where he was responsible for the award winning Total
Control product line of carrier Internet access, voice over IP, and 3G wireless
data product lines.

Kevin Rice
Kevin Rice is an Enterprise
Architect at Allstate Financial, a business unit of Allstate
Insurance Co. Kevin has been in technology for the past 18
years and has spent the last eight in the Financial Services
industry. He was the project lead architect for
the award winning
financial services Web site
www.accessallstate.com , a leader for the creation of
enterprise wide reference architectures, and is currently
leading a newly formed group to build out Business Framework
solutions within a Service Oriented Architecture.

Robert D. Schneider
Robert D. Schneider is Director of Client Services at Above All Software. He has
more than 15 years of experience leading successful client services
organizations and providing technical expertise on complex IT applications.
Before Above All, he was the co-founder and Vice President of Professional
Services for Optimize Solutions. Prior to Optimize, Robert led the Client
Services organization as Director of Sales Engineering at Visigenic Software, as
well as serving as a senior consultant at Informix Software. As principal of
Spectrum Associates, Robert created and directed a successful banking
software-consulting firm in New York. He's written three books and numerous
articles on high-performance database applications as well as technical sales
and implementations.

Prakash Sinha
Prakash Sinha is director
of product management for Reactivity and has over 17 years of experience in
product management, product marketing, and engineering. Prior to joining
Reactivity, Mr. Sinha was director of product management for Sonoa Systems
where he helped define initial product and functional requirements,
prioritization and product roadmap for the Sonoa Calvin appliance. He also
worked at leading technology companies such as Informatica, Redline Networks
(now Juniper Networks), QuickTree, IONA, and Tandem Computers (now Compaq).
Mr. Sinha holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics
Engineering from BIT in Mesra, India, and an MBA from UC Berkeley.

Thad Marcelli
Thad has been one of two
lead architects mapping out Motorola’s SOA strategy. He has over three
years of practical knowledge in the SOA framework space and has faced
many SOA implementation challenges first hand. Thad Marcelli has been
with Motorola for over 5 years. His IT background spans disciplines
including Enterprise Strategy, Architecture, Mobile Application
Development, Web Development and of course Service-Oriented
Architecture.
