and covers the areas of economics, resiliency, virtualization and
strategy. His most recent Masters Thesis was "The Economic
Quantification of Operation Risk, History and Trends" in 2006.

Kent Christensen
Kent Christensen is the Virtualization
Practice Manager at Datalink.
Kent
leads Datalink’s virtualization practice, directing the selection and
adoption of virtualization hardware and software technologies and
services. He also consults with customers on storage consolidation and
virtualization strategies and technologies. Prior to joining
Datalink Kent
was employed at CNT/McDATA , where he directed the intelligent fabric
virtualization strategy and was a product manager focused on
appliance-based virtualization solutions. Prior to CNT/McData, Kent
worked at ManagedStorage International and StorageTek, as an Advisory
Manager and Advisory Software Engineer.
Kent
earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science at the University of Minnesota Institute of Technology.

Scot Curry
Scot Curry is a Sr. Systems Engineer for Symantec responsible for the
Virtualization Product Line. With application streaming, application
virtualization and virtual desktop technology, Symantec has created a
dedicated Endpoint Virtualization product group. Scot is a primary
evangelist, advocating the use of the various virtualization
technologies available today to promote higher productivity for
end-users and better system manageability and cost reduction for IT.
Scot brings over twenty years of industry experience in developing and
bringing to market innovative technologies to enterprises and small
businesses. He is highly skilled at leveraging the latest technologies
to enhance products and services for the benefit of their users.

David
Klauser
David is now part of
the executive team at Transcendent Technologies, LLC providing executive
level sales and marketing leadership, focusing on Business Applications,
Infrastructure Solutions and I.T. Strategy. Before joining
Transcendent, David was with Atrato (data storage start up) and was also
with Insight Investments for several years running sales for the East
United States. David was the Founder and CEO of PRISM
Technologies, where David and his team built a $20M data storage
solutions integrator within three years. Prior to launching PRISM, David
was a VP at Xiotech with management at all levels of direct, channel and
alliance leadership. David was one of the original employees at Xiotech
during start up mode, exceeding quota at all levels of individual and
team performance, while also gaining M&A experience over a ten year
tenure through two separate M&A's, both by Seagate for $360M in 1999 and
again by Oak Investments in 2002. Prior to joining Xiotech Corporation,
David worked for financial services organizations, including founding a
financial trading company which focused on options trading in the
technology sector. David graduated from The University of Minnesota
with a BA in Economics, a minor in international finance, and also holds
an AA and an AS degree. David is married with five children.

Gary
Pilafas
Gary Pilafas is the Director of Product Strategy and
Planning at Hitachi Data Systems. Gary joined Hitachi Data Systems in July
2008. Pilafas leads the combined Technology Current and Future Strategies for
Hitachi Data Systems with the Disk Array Systems Division; Hitachi Limited,
Japan out to 2025. He has many years of developing large Enterprise Strategies
and leading Technology Transformations which have lead to a 75%.savings in
Operational Expenses (OPEX) and Infrastructure Modernization. Prior to
joining Hitachi Data Systems, Pilafas was the Chief Architect and Managing
Director of Enterprise Architecture at United Airlines where he spent 8 years
establishing Enterprise Architecture Hardware and Software standards, massive
financial reductions in CAPEX and OPEX dollars while UAL restructured under
bankruptcy. Prior to United Airlines , he was a technology Director for
MyPoints.com, Moore Wallace Corporation (purchased by R.R Donnelley), Walgreens
and AT&T. Pilafas
holds degrees in Aviation and Management from Southern Illinois University. He
also spent 8 years as a Naval Aircrewman in the United States Marine Corps.

Nick Schmidt
Nick Schmidt
is currently the senior manager of CDW’s Information Technology, overseeing
IT infrastructure Services. Mr. Schmidt’s organization encompasses
Telecommunications, Network Services, System Engineering, IT Security, and
Data Center Services. He is a 30-year I.T. veteran. with extensive
experience leading organizations ranging from domestically focused
operations to multi-million dollar global technology organizations.
Prior to CDW, Mr. Schmidt has served in multiple capacities in private and
publically held companies primarily focusing on infrastructure excellence.
With extensive experience gained from within major telecommunications
providers as well as leading consumers of telecommunications services, Mr.
Schmidt brings a wealth of information to his perspective.

Joshua Shi is
Security Architect at TransUnion. He has
over a decade of Information Technology experience spanning over
multiple sectors - aviation, service, publishing, manufacturing, and
financial and non-profit organizations. He specializes in strategic
enterprise architecture/infrastructure projects using Microsoft
solutions, virtualization technologies, networking and now focuses on
Information Security. His visionary expertise has helped revolutionize
Small Businesses and Fortune companies, and has resulted in improving
people's lives through the use of technology. He has been proving
instrumental to the company's bottom line. Joshua holds MCSE, Small
Business Specialist, Security+, PCT, VCP and A+ certifications. He
graduated from The University of Phoenix with an Information Technology
degree and was recently awarded the Thunderbird, Garvin School of
International Management Global Management and Leadership Certificates.

Sumar is a Sr. Infrastructure Architect for Duff & Phelps. One of the
world’s leading independent financial advisory firms serving client
needs in the areas of valuation, investment banking and transaction
advice, and dispute consulting. Annur is responsible for planning,
designing, engineering and implementing the underlying technology
infrastructure for Duff & Phelps ranging from the Datacenter to the
Desktop. Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Annur served as a Senior
Consultant for Unified Synergies, LLC a leading Technology Consulting
firm in the area of Strategic Infrastructure Design and Technology
driven Business Intelligence, positioning and designing strategic
technology driven process improvements for clients by aligning IT
Services, Engineering best practices, Operations Management, and
Helpdesk Support to lower Total Cost of Ownership and raise Return on
Investments. Annur’s most recent accomplishments for Q1 of 2009 at Duff
& Phelps includes the planning, designing and engineering of a Server
Consolidation / Virtualization Architecture and a Unified Infrastructure
Strategy based on the (MOF) Microsoft Operations Framework Model.

Susina
Steve
Susina has more than 20 years of engineering and marketing experience in the
telecommunications and IT industries and currently serves as Director of
Marketing for Laurus Technologies, a business consulting and IT solutions
provider based in Itasca, IL. Previously, he was Senior Product Manager for
UTStarcom's fixed/mobile convergence product line, and has also held various
sales, marketing and engineering roles at Tellabs and AT&T. His speaking
experience includes technology conferences around the world on such topics
as IT & business strategy, optical networking, compliance and identity
management and mobile communications. Susina holds a BS in Electrical
Engineering from Marquette University and an MBA from the University of
Pittsburgh.

Rob
Wilson
Robert Wilson is the
Service Director of Virtualization at GlassHouse Technologies, Inc.
Robert Wilson has over 10 years of experience in planning, managing and
implementing Intel based infrastructures. Robert has a long history with
Intel server consolidation and virtualization starting with the initial
release of VMware ESX platform more than 6 years ago. His background
includes infrastructure architecture as well as virtual environment
design for several global insurance and financial firms in the greater
New York area. As the Service Director of Virtualization at
GlassHouse Technologies, Robert is responsible for creating
virtualization service offerings for their clients, leading projects
using proprietary methodology to design, architect, deploy, migrate and
manage virtualization initiatives.
Robert worked for
RapidApp for two years as a Regional Delivery Lead/Technical Architect
before it was acquired by GlassHouse Technologies in 2007. Robert’s
background includes working as a Server Consolidation Manager at AIG and
most recently a team leader of Infrastructure Architecture at Asurion
Inc.
