Sergey Chernov, PMP
I
n his current role -- Manager, Enterprise Architecture at NiSource, Sergey is part of company transformation team tasked to take NiSource to a new level of Business and IT operations.  Previously, he held a position of Assistant Director of IT Strategic Planning at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago where he was leading strategic planning, architecture and project management oversight for a central IT group. Prior to joining NEIU, he led several large-scale internal IT projects for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. Sergey started his career at Emerson Electric where he was responsible for project management and implementation of B2B e-commerce systems. Sergey is a certified project manager (PMP) and has earned a Masters of Science in Information Systems Management degree from Loyola University Chicago and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University.

Praveen Moturu

Praveen Moturu is currently working as Chief Enterprise Architect at Navistar. He has more than 16 years’ experience providing strategic planning, enterprise leadership, driving business and IT alignment, guiding top-tier organizations in areas pertaining to business transformation, enterprise architecture and business performance improvement.
Mr. Moturu has extensive expertise in leading and implementing enterprise-wide business/technology strategies and innovative solutions with background in senior management positions as a Consulting Partner, Principal-Strategy Consulting, Director of e-Business Practice, Solutions Architect and Senior Enterprise Architect. Experienced in turnaround and change leadership, mentoring and managing high skilled architects, and management of subject matter experts in the accomplishment of enterprise IT programs.
His focus areas have been planning, definition, and execution of strategy and management of complex implementation projects, establishing strategic relationships, new technology adoption, future state business and technology architecture definition, and the alignment of IT investments with business strategy by collaborating with key departments/stakeholders of the enterprise.
Mr. Moturu has a master’s degree in IT. Prior to joining Navistar, he held positions at HCSC, CNA Insurance and Cambridge Technology Partners.

Soumit Nandi
Soumit Nandi is a technology strategy and architecture executive with experience in strategic enterprise architecture and complex systems integration. In his most recent role, Mr Nandi led the Enterprise Architecture program for United Airlines – with a focus on business architecture, IT strategic planning, business technology roadmaps,  IT asset optimization and governance. Prior to that, Mr Nandi has held both strategic and execution focused roles in applications development, program delivery and systems integration. Mr Nandi lives in Chicago and enjoys photography, tennis and sailing.

Ajay J. Patel
Before joining Agilysys, Ajay worked at Acxiom Corporation, an Outsourcing Services Provider, managing large and enterprise data center class initiatives around long term IT cost savings through strategically managed services, utilizing next generation methodologies to drive out cost while improving SLAs. He has previously worked in strategic roles at CNA Insurance, Amoco Oil Co, and IBM Corporation. Ajay drives strategies that align to customers’ goals of driving out cost of their IT infrastructure. Ajay is a thought leader in his field of expertise with focus on Strategy Designed for Growth instead of just a strategy of growth. He is regarded as a top Enterprise / Data Center Architect with competencies in establishing an accurate cost basis for large enterprise IT operations and design future solutions with significant ROI savings through smart designs leveraging the latest technologies. Ajay’s IT Assessment methodologies provide a holistic view of a customer’s data center infrastructure as it exists today, with a Gap Analysis to bridge and provide roadmap of strategies and continuity to achieve long term goals. With experience in buying and selling all major enterprise hardware, software, and storage solutions, Ajay takes an objective view in solving problems to ensure best of class solutions are derived. While also cognizant of customers’ competencies and capabilities, Ajay ensures reasonable solutions are prescribed. Ajay has provided leadership role in designing and creating Agilysys branded solutions around true virtualization of an entire data center, beyond Vmware, beyond Storage consolidation; essentially putting Private Cloud computing methodologies in the hands of the customers. Ajay has been instrumental in bringing IT-as-a-Service solutions to reality using POD like design to provide building blocks of IT infrastructure delivered to customers’ data center floor utilizing financial instruments that Agilysys offers.

John Phillips
John Phillips now with Laurus Technologies was the former VP and CIO of Allscripts-Misys, a Healthcare Information company. At Allscripts-Misys, he was responsible for driving the technology strategy to create efficient business processes across the organization and transform the company's internal systems by modernizing its software platforms, enterprise hardware, and network infrastructure. He was responsible for the ongoing development and management of the point-of-care medication management and medical supply solutions to physicians as well as provisioning and supporting new doctor EMR systems using the hosted ASP service offering. He brings with him over twenty years of technology experience in business alignment and operations. Prior to joining Allscripts-Misys, John has held IT leadership positions at Accenture, RR Donnelley, Quebecor World, Thomson Reuters Corporation, as well as several large healthcare institutions.

Ganapathy Subbarayalu
Ganapathy Subbarayalu is part of the team that brought in and eliminated a multitude of technology to few strategic platforms and consistency in technology and process adoption across Allstate.  His overall responsibilities include: defining Technology Strategy & Roadmap; supporting Application Development /triage; working on Infrastructure Planning & Execution; Capacity Management & Forecasting both onshore and offshore; implementation of new technology and upgrading existing application and infrastructure; and project/Vendor/Offshore & Resource management.

Iain Tilbrook

Iain Tilbrook is Chief Business Analyst and I.T. Architecture manager at Argonne National Laboratory.  He has over 20 years experience designing and supporting information systems.  Starting in the Physics division, he transferred to Argonne's MIS group in 1997 to assume support for one the Laboratory's two procurement systems.  After co-leading a lab-wide cyber security self-assessment in 2000, he transitioned into a role to develop the Lab's first enterprise architecture, leading to his present position.  A sub-arachnoid hemorrhage in 2002 and subsequent rehabilitation took Iain away from his duties for an extended period.  Returning to the Lab full-time in late 2003 he was brought into a project to map some of Argonne's key business processes.  That work has continued and expanded as the Lab's attention to process has grown and is now the largest part of his architecture work.

Jim Vaselopulos
Jim Vaselopulos is a seasoned business executive with domain expertise in Financial Services, Marketing, Manufacturing and Service Industries. Jim works closely with many firms to help align business needs and technology for competitive advantage. His many roles include Partner at PSC Group, LLC, interim CIO at several organizations and strategic business consultant to many others. His speaking engagements include regional executive events, various podcasts, industry organizations and technology-centric educational institutions such as the University of Illinois. Jim holds an Engineering degree from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Marquette University.
